How the Charge Is Built
Four rules govern what you pay, whatever the current numbers are.

The first 15 minutes are free
Enough for a kerbside drop-off or a quick collection. Exceed it and you are charged from the first hour — there is no partial credit for the free window.

Then hourly bands
Between fifteen minutes and six hours the charge rises through hourly bands. This is the range where a badly timed pick-up costs real money.

Over six hours becomes a daily rate
Once you pass six hours the tariff switches to the daily rate, so an eight-hour stay and a twenty-hour stay cost the same.

Long stays are billed daily
A fortnight’s holiday is fourteen daily charges. Worth comparing against a return transfer or a taxi from home before you decide to drive.

All three are monitored by CCTV and staffed around the clock. In July and August the covered and VIP areas fill first — arrive earlier than you think you need to.
Paying and Not Overpaying
Payment is made at the automatic machines at the exit, by cash or credit card, before you go back to the vehicle. Some areas use number-plate recognition and accept payment online, which avoids the machine queue entirely.
Do not lose the entry ticket. The lost-ticket charge is high and is the single most common way people end up paying far more than the tariff. Put it somewhere fixed rather than in a pocket.
For collections, the money is saved by timing. Do not enter the car park until the arriving passenger has actually cleared baggage reclaim — typically 30 to 40 minutes after touchdown, longer for an international arrival with passport control to clear. Wait outside the barrier and watch the arrivals board.
Accessible Parking and Other Vehicles
Designated spaces for disabled drivers are provided close to the terminal entrances; a valid disabled parking badge must be displayed. Assistance inside the terminal is arranged through your airline, at least 48 hours before departure.
