The airport coach is the cheapest way off the airfield. It runs two lines and no more, and how it is scheduled depends on which direction you are going.

The Two Lines
HAVAŞ operates exactly two routes at Milas-Bodrum. There is no third line, and no coach to Turgutreis, Yalıkavak or Gümüşlük.

How the Timetable Works
The two directions are scheduled quite differently, and this is the single thing most passengers get wrong.
From the airport, there is no fixed timetable. A coach leaves roughly 30 to 45 minutes after each flight lands, which means the service follows the arrivals board rather than a clock, and it continues to run for late-arriving flights well into the night. You do not need to plan anything — walk out of arrivals, follow the HAVAŞ signs and the coach will be there.
Towards the airport, the opposite applies: departures from the city run on a fixed published timetable, so you have to choose a service that gets you there in time. Allow to be at the departure point comfortably ahead of the coach, and at the terminal at least two hours before a domestic flight or three before an international one.

Luggage is free
Large cases go in the lower hold at no charge. The coaches are air-conditioned with proper luggage capacity, unlike the municipal buses.

Find the stop
From the arrivals exit, follow the HAVAŞ signs. In the other direction the airport service leaves from Bodrum’s old bus station, which is also where every Muttaş line starts.

Getting off early
On the Bodrum line you can leave the coach at the Milas junction for Milas town centre, and on the Güvercinlik line at the Meşelik junction for Torba and the bays around it.

Onward from the otogar
Bodrum bus station is the interchange for the whole peninsula: Muttaş buses and dolmuş minibuses run from there to Turgutreis, Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük, Bitez, Ortakent, Türkbükü and Gündoğan.

When the Coach Is Not the Answer
The coach works beautifully for Bodrum town and Torba with light luggage. It works much less well if your resort is at the western end of the peninsula, because the coach only reaches the bus station and you then face a change onto a municipal bus with limited space for suitcases.
It also does not fit a very late arrival at an out-of-the-way village, or a group of four or more where a single vehicle priced per car generally beats four individual fares. In those cases a metered taxi or a pre-booked transfer is the better tool — the comparison is on the transport guide.
