Which Option Should You Choose?

Private transfer is door-to-door at a price fixed when you book. Your flight number is tracked, so if you land late the driver waits at no extra charge — the main reason it is the default choice for night arrivals and families with children. For four or more passengers a go4transfers VIP VAN or LUX VIP usually works out best value per head.

HAVAŞ coach is the cheapest option: it departs 30–45 minutes after each flight lands and reaches Bodrum bus station in about 45 minutes. It does not go to your hotel — from the otogar you continue by Muttaş municipal bus, dolmuş or a short taxi. The Güvercinlik line serves the Torba side of the bay.

Taxi requires no booking — the rank is directly outside the terminal — and is metered. Reasonable for one or two travellers to the nearer towns, but note the 50% night tariff between 00:00 and 06:00, and for the far end of the peninsula (Yalıkavak, Turgutreis, Gümüşlük) a pre-booked transfer is usually better value.

Car hire suits itineraries with a lot of exploring. All the major companies have desks in arrivals; the peninsula road network is good, though resort parking in July and August is tight.

Booking Advice

Book before you fly, especially for arrivals after midnight. Give your flight number, not just the arrival time — that is what allows the operator to track a delay. Most companies provide baby and child seats free of charge, but you must request them when booking.

Confirm what the quoted price includes: number of passengers, luggage, child seats, and whether it is one way or return. Payment is typically cash (TRY, EUR, USD) or card on arrival; some operators take online prepayment. Night transfers between 00:00 and 06:00 can carry a 10–20% surcharge — confirm the exact figure when you book.

For the return journey, agree a pick-up based on your departure time: allow three hours at the airport for international flights, plus the drive.
