Turgutreis and Gümüşlük. The sunsets, the Saturday market and the fishing-village restaurants. These are the longest transfers on the peninsula.

Muğla, Didim, Marmaris, Kuşadası and Datça are all reachable, but only by private transfer or hire car; scheduled public transport on these routes is thin to non-existent.

Which Option for Which Distance
For Bodrum centre and Torba the HAVAŞ coach is the straightforward answer: about 35 minutes, 230 TL to the centre and 190 TL on the Güvercinlik/Torba line, with departures tied to arriving flights. For everywhere else on the peninsula the coach only gets you as far as Bodrum bus station, and you then change onto a Muttaş bus or a dolmuş.
That two-stage journey is fine with hand luggage and tiresome with three suitcases and a pushchair. For the western towns — Turgutreis, Gümüşlük, Yalıkavak — a pre-booked private transfer or a hire car usually makes more sense, and for four or more people the arithmetic favours a single vehicle in any case.
