Bitez, Gümüşlük, Ortakent-Yahşi, Akyarlar, Karaincir and Türkbükü are the best known, each with a different character. Torba, 33 km away, is the closest good beach to the airport.
When is the best time to visit Bodrum?
Early June and September, when the sea is 23–25 °C and both crowds and prices are below the July–August peak. April, May and October are best for the ancient sites.
