The Station Itself
Bodrum bus station sits about a kilometre from the town centre on Cevat Şakir Caddesi, and is easy to find under its Turkish name, Bodrum Otogarı. It has ticket offices for all the coach companies, an air-conditioned waiting hall, toilets and paid showers, a cafeteria and snack bar, paid left luggage, a Muğla Card sales point, ATMs, a taxi rank and short-term free parking.
Left luggage is genuinely useful: it lets you keep a last day on the beach after a hotel check-out without carrying cases around. Ask at the counter for the current charge.
Using It for a Flight
If you are catching a flight, be at the bus station at least three hours before departure. That sounds generous, but the airport service towards the airport runs on a fixed timetable, the journey takes about 35 minutes and can take longer in August traffic, and the airport then wants two to three hours of its own depending on whether you are flying domestic or international.
HAVAŞ tickets are bought on board from the driver — cash, credit card or contactless — and there is no advance sale. For the return, remember that from the airport the coach follows arriving flights rather than a timetable, so nothing needs planning in that direction.
