About Milas-Bodrum Airport
Milas-Bodrum Airport (IATA: BJV, ICAO: LTFE) serves the Bodrum peninsula from a site between Milas and the coast in Muğla province. It has two terminals side by side: a domestic terminal for flights within Turkey and a much larger international terminal handling all flights from abroad.
The airport is strongly seasonal. Between April and October it handles a heavy programme of charter and scheduled leisure flights from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and elsewhere in Europe; in summer, aircraft arrive from more than 40 different cities. Through the winter the schedule shrinks back mainly to domestic services to Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir.
Bodrum town centre is 37 km away — about 35 minutes by road. Milas is the closest town at 19 km, and every resort on the peninsula (Gümbet, Bitez, Ortakent, Torba, Türkbükü, Yalıkavak, Turgutreis, Gümüşlük) is reachable within 20 to 60 minutes.

Getting from the Airport to Your Resort
There are four realistic options. Private transfer is door-to-door at a fixed price, with your flight tracked so the driver waits if you land late — the usual choice for families and night arrivals. The HAVAŞ coach leaves for Bodrum bus station 30–45 minutes after each flight lands and is the cheapest option, but you will need onward transport (Muttaş bus, dolmuş or taxi) from the bus station to your hotel.
Taxis are metered and wait outside the terminal around the clock, but note the night tariff: between 00:00 and 06:00 all fares carry a 50% surcharge. Car hire makes sense if you plan to explore the peninsula — all the major international companies have desks in arrivals.
